LPS Services is hiring dependable employees to support active oil and gas operations. No previous security, traffic-control or oilfield experience is required—paid training is provided.

Pay and benefitsOvertime is built into every schedule. Each standard two-week rotation includes 84 scheduled hours, with eight hours paid at time-and-a-half.
The rates below are minimum base rates. Higher starting wages may be offered based on relevant experience and qualifications.

•    Security Officer: Minimum base rate of $15 per hour.
•    Traffic Controller: Minimum base rate of $14 per hour, plus a separate $2-per-hour personal-vehicle operating allowance during qualifying assignments requiring work from a running personal vehicle.
•    Staging Attendant: Minimum base rate of $15 per hour.
•    Pilot Driver: Minimum base rate of $15.50 per hour; company vehicle, fuel card and necessary work equipment provided.
•    Mobile Security Patrol Officer: Minimum base rate of $16 per hour; company vehicle and fuel card provided for work assignments.

Available positions
Security OfficerMinimum base rate: $15 per hour—higher starting pay may be offered based on relevant experience and qualifications.
Help protect active oil and gas locations by monitoring access and maintaining accurate site records.

•    Check identification and required safety credentials.
•    Monitor visitors, vehicles and secured lease-road entrances.
•    Record site activity using an iPad or laptop.
•    Maintain accurate electronic and written logs.
•    Communicate professionally with employees, contractors and drivers.
•    Report incidents, emergencies and unusual activity.
•    Follow site procedures and provide CPR and First Aid when necessary.

Most assignments are based in a heated and air-conditioned guard shack.

Schedule and estimated earnings

•    Week 1: Three 12-hour shifts—36 hours.
•    Week 2: Four 12-hour shifts—48 hours.
•    Two-week total: 84 scheduled hours, including eight overtime hours.
•    Estimated gross pay at the minimum base rate: $1,320 every two weeks, calculated as 76 regular hours at $15 plus eight overtime hours at $22.50.
•    Days: 6 a.m.–6 p.m.
•    Nights: 6 p.m.–6 a.m.

Traffic Controller
Minimum base rate: $14 per hour—higher starting pay may be offered based on relevant experience and qualifications.Help keep oilfield traffic moving safely and efficiently.

•    Direct traffic and provide clear instructions to drivers.
•    Communicate with drivers and coworkers using a CB radio.
•    Monitor roadway, traffic and weather conditions.
•    Follow established traffic-control procedures.
•    Report unsafe conditions, incidents and emergencies.
•    Remain alert throughout the assigned shift.

A separate $2-per-hour personal-vehicle operating allowance applies during qualifying assignments requiring work from a running personal vehicle. This allowance is separate from base wages.
This position involves independent work and outdoor assignments in changing weather.

Schedule and estimated earnings

•    Week 1: Three 12-hour shifts—36 hours.
•    Week 2: Four 12-hour shifts—48 hours.
•    Two-week total: 84 scheduled hours, including eight overtime hours.
•    Regular wages: 76 hours at $14 = $1,064.
•    Overtime wages: Eight hours at $21 = $168.
•    Separate vehicle operating allowance: 84 qualifying hours at $2 = $168.
•    Estimated two-week total, including wages and the separate allowance: $1,400, when all 84 hours qualify for the allowance.
•    Shift placement depends on the assigned location and current openings.

The allowance applies only to qualifying hours; the total will be lower if fewer hours qualify.
Opportunity to move up: Traffic Controllers may have the opportunity to advance into a pad position with an increased pay rate.

Staging AttendantMinimum base rate: $15 per hour—higher starting pay may be offered based on relevant experience and qualifications.
Help organize truck traffic and keep daily oilfield operations running smoothly.

•    Check identification and required safety credentials.
•    Enter truck, driver and dispatch information using an iPad or laptop.
•    Coordinate truck dispatch and movement.
•    Monitor staging areas and maintain accurate records.
•    Communicate with drivers and coworkers using a CB radio.
•    Report delays, incidents and unusual activity.
•    Follow site procedures and provide CPR and First Aid when necessary.
This role is suited to organized, dependable people with clear communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Help guide oversized, heavy and slow-moving trucks safely to their destinations.

•    Follow designated routes and traffic-control plans.
•    Observe required speeds, vehicle spacing, curfews and route restrictions.
•    Maintain safe distances between vehicles.
•    Communicate clearly with truck drivers and other personnel.
•    Support safe vehicle movement and follow company and site procedures.

LPS supplies the company vehicle, fuel card and equipment needed to complete your work assignments.

•    Week 2: Four 12-hour shifts—48 hours.

Mobile Security Patrol Officer

Minimum base rate: $16 per hour—higher starting pay may be offered based on relevant experience and qualifications.
Minimum age: 21
Company vehicle and fuel card provided
Travel between oil and gas locations to inspect equipment and work sites, document findings and report concerns.

•    Pick up your company vehicle and equipment at our Houston office.
•    Drive to assigned locations.
•    Inspect equipment and work sites.
•    Collect information and complete electronic records using an iPad.
•    Identify and mark issues using approved materials.
•    Report findings to management.
•    Return the vehicle and equipment to the office at the end of your shift.

LPS provides the vehicle and fuel for work assignments. You’ll need reliable transportation to and from the Houston office.
Schedule and estimated earnings

•    Week 1: Three 12-hour shifts—36 hours.
•    Week 2: Four 12-hour shifts—48 hours.
•    Two-week total: 84 scheduled hours, including eight overtime hours.
•    Estimated gross pay at the minimum base rate: $1,408 every two weeks, calculated as 76 regular hours at $16 plus eight overtime hours at $24.
•    Nights: 6 p.m.–6 a.m.

All earnings estimates use the minimum base rates, are before applicable taxes and deductions, and assume completion of the scheduled rotation. Actual earnings depend on your pay rate and hours worked. Additional overtime may be available based on operational needs.

Minimum qualifications
Applicants must:
•    Be at least 18 years old for Security Officer, Traffic Controller and Staging Attendant positions, or 21 for Pilot Driver and Mobile Security Patrol Officer positions.
•    Possess a valid driver’s license.
•    Have a reliable personal vehicle with current registration and insurance.
•    Own a working smartphone.
•    Be comfortable using iPads, laptops and communication applications.
•    Communicate clearly and professionally.
•    Demonstrate dependable attendance, organizational skills and attention to detail.
•    Remain alert throughout a 12-hour shift.
•    Be able to work independently and outdoors in varying weather when required.
•    Work the schedule associated with the assigned position.
•    Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and comply with applicable company drug-testing requirements.
•    Follow company, client and site safety procedures.
