Office Manager (Part-Time)

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Office Manager to keep our New York office running smoothly on our core in-office days. As our part-time Office Manager, you'll be the on-site owner of the New York office experience Tuesday through Thursday. You'll manage the workplace environment, vendor relationships, office supplies and pantry, meeting and visitor support, and the everyday details that help our team do their best work in the office.

This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, service-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment—while bringing calm, structure, and a warm presence to the office.

What you'll do: 

• Own day-to-day office operations during Tuesday–Thursday in-office days, ensuring the workplace is clean, stocked, safe, and ready for employees and guests.
• Manage office supplies, pantry/kitchen inventory, and swipe/access logistics; place and track orders; reconcile receipts and invoices as needed.
• Coordinate with building management, landlords, cleaning, HVAC, internet, security, and other vendors to resolve issues and schedule services.
• Support meeting readiness and visitor experience—including conference room setup, guest arrivals, and hospitality for interviews and on-site meetings.
• Partner with People, IT, and Facilities stakeholders on onboarding logistics (badges, desks, equipment handoff) and offboarding office-related tasks.
• Help plan and execute small office events, team gatherings, and culture moments that make in-office days engaging.
• Maintain simple workplace trackers and checklists (inventory, vendor contacts, issue logs, seating/desk updates) and escalate facilities issues promptly.
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for employee workplace questions and requests, routing specialized issues to the right owner.
• Identify opportunities to improve office workflows, vendor processes, and the overall in-office employee experience.
• Jump in on ad hoc workplace projects as needs arise.

What we're looking for: 

• Approximately 2+ years of experience in office management, workplace/facilities coordination, executive or office administration, or a similar hands-on operations role.
• Availability to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• A customer-service mindset with a warm, professional presence—comfortable being the face of the office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay calm under pressure, and adapt as business needs evolve.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident coordinating with vendors and internal partners.
• Comfortable handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Self-starter who takes ownership, anticipates needs, and continuously looks for ways to improve the workplace.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (or similar) and comfort learning new workplace/vendor tools.

Gold Stars

• Experience supporting a hybrid or return-to-office workplace.
• Prior experience coordinating vendors in a multi-tenant commercial building (ideally NYC).
• Experience planning employee events or office hospitality programs (including pantry/lunch coordination).
• Familiarity with basic facilities issues (access control, AV/conference rooms, internet outages) and knowing when to escalate.
• Experience working in a startup or technology company environment.

Salary Range: $30 an hour

The base salary range represents the reasonably anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and competencies, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data for companies of our size and industry.
