Job summary
The Social Media & Community Coordinator is the face and the lens of the Meyer Heating & Air Conditioning brand. This role rides along with technicians to capture real content on job sites and around the office, manages Meyer's social media channels day to day, and represents the company at community and networking events. This is a part-time, field-based role suited for a creative, hard-working, people-oriented self-starter. Studio-quality production is not required.
Job type, location, schedule
- Part-time, 20 to 30 hours a week
- $20 to $25 an hour
- St. Louis metro. Field-based, not a desk job.
- Flexible hours built around job sites and community events.
Essential functions
- Ride along with technicians to capture photos and video of real jobs, plus behind-the-scenes moments around the office
- Shoot and edit short-form video (reels, TikToks, stories) on a smartphone, working from provided brand guidelines and shot lists
- Own Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok day to day: plan, post, and maintain a consistent publishing cadence
- Expand to LinkedIn and other platforms as they fit
- Write captions, respond to comments and messages, and maintain a simple content calendar
- Represent Meyer in the community at BNI, chamber events, and local partnerships with businesses and charities
Minimum qualifications
- A creative eye and a genuine interest in social media; knows what makes people stop scrolling
- Comfortable shooting and editing photo and video on a smartphone; experience with CapCut, Canva, or similar tools is a plus
- Outgoing and confident; enjoys meeting people and can represent a brand in a room full of strangers
- Self-motivated and dependable; manages their own schedule and follows through without being micromanaged
- Comfortable working on active job sites
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for local travel
Other responsibilities
- Capture additional photos and video for the marketing team as needed for the website and ad campaigns
- Perform other duties as assigned
