Occupational Therapist Registered - OTR

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) to provide school-based occupational therapy services to students in
Dearborn Heights, Michigan. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate student needs, provide individualized interventions, and collaborate with school teams to help students participate successfully in academic and daily school activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services.
• Support fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, self-care, and functional school skills.
• Develop and monitor occupational therapy goals included in students' IEPs.
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and strategies when appropriate.

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current NBCOT certification/registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Active state Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
