Job Description
Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care)
Schedule: Part-time hours. Employee will work three 8-hour shifts one week and 2 the next week. There is a requirement of 2 weekend days per month and a holiday rotation schedule.

Role Overview
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits. Your expertise will directly impact patients' ability to perform independent living skills, enhancing their overall well-being. You will support patients, their families, and caregivers by providing education and guidance throughout the therapy process.

What You Will Do
- Assess patients' ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
- Design and implement appropriate plans of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
- Document findings of patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families/caregivers about patient deficits and the use of adaptive equipment.
- Plan and assist with patient discharge from therapy services.
- Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians.
Qualifications
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Acute Care Experience.
