BJC Medical Group is seeking a Part-Time OB Hospitalist Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for its established OB Hospitalist program at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to help shape obstetric care delivery within a highly regarded women's health program while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Opportunity Highlights

• Part-time Medical Director role averaging approximately 3 hours per week
• Annual stipend for Medical Director responsibilities
• Flexible combination of remote and on-site meetings
• Opportunity to work 1-2 PRN OB Hospitalist shifts per month for additional compensation
• May be held concurrently by an existing OB Hospitalist within the program

Program Overview

• Established team of 5 experienced OB Hospitalists/Laborists
• Collaborative partnership with 6 full-time Certified Nurse Midwives
• Midwifery team supported by a dedicated Director of Midwifery
• Strong relationship with hospital and obstetric leadership

Medical Director Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and guidance for the OB Hospitalist/Laborist team
• Assist with physician scheduling and workflow optimization
• Oversee quality metrics, peer review activities, and performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with obstetric leadership to develop and maintain standards of care
• Lead protocol development and program enhancement efforts
• Support patient experience initiatives and address patient concerns as needed

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OB/GYN seeking a meaningful leadership role with a limited time commitment while remaining clinically engaged in an established and well-supported OB Hospitalist program.

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
