Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner provides specialized outpatient wound care, managing acute and chronic conditions while collaborating with supervising physicians.

This role offers clinical autonomy and the opportunity to directly influence patient healing and outcomes.

Perform comprehensive wound care assessments
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic wounds
Develop and implement treatment plans
Prescribe medications within scope and protocol
Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams
Educate patients and caregivers to support healing
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance
Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Master’s or Doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner
Active Michigan NP license with prescriptive authority required
Current national certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS – AHA) required
2+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
Experience in wound care or chronic disease management preferred
Ability to work independently in a rural clinical setting
Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care approach
