**Nurse Assistant - Clinton Township**

As a Nurse Assistant, you are a compassionate healthcare professional who plays a vital role in our patient care team. Based in Clinton Township, you will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses to ensure our patients receive exceptional care, comfort, and support. Your dedication to patient well-being and collaborative spirit make you an essential member of our healthcare facility, where meaningful work and professional growth are at the heart of what we do.

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility, while maintaining their dignity and comfort
• Monitor and report patient vital signs, observations, and any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff in a timely manner
• Respond promptly to patient requests and call lights, demonstrating empathy and patience in all interactions
• Support nursing staff in preparing patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to HIPAA compliance standards and facility protocols
• Assist in implementing patient care plans as directed by the Registered Nurse, providing valuable input based on patient observations
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures, remaining calm and efficient under pressure
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and professional knowledge
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
• Uphold professional standards of excellence in all patient and team member interactions, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications**

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (such as Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign-trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR completion of a Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR minimum one year of previous experience in a similar patient care role
• Ability to obtain BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation
• Physical stamina and capability to lift, move, and assist patients safely
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and empathy when working with patients and families
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality requirements
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare facility setting
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain during employment
