Job Description
Overview
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks. They will utilize detection of radiation in patients to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities while complying with Conway Regional Health System policies and procedures. Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with professional/technical health care personnel. The registered Nuclear Medicine technologist will maintain their professional level of expertise as required by Conway Regional Health System policy. Will be responsible for verifying orders, charging procedures, working knowledge of PACS system, and transport of patients with all necessary paperwork completed.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications
ARRT (NM) certification and/or NMTCB certification within one year of employment.
Maintain the professional status “Active” register member of ARRT / NMTCB by fulfilling CME requirements
Arkansas State License in Nuclear Medicine
Successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers prior to completion of orientation
Previous Computer Experience
Knowledge of Joint Commission and Arkansas Department of Health requirements preferred
Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum job qualifications with the approval of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.

Additionally, the health system operates a Rehabilitation Hospital and a 70,000-square-foot Health and Fitness Center. In June of 2019, Conway Regional announced a management agreement with the Dardanelle Hospital, since renamed as the Dardanelle Regional Medical Center.
With more than 200 physicians providing services at Conway Regional, the organization partners with the medical staff in an Accountable Clinical Management Model (ACM). This one-of-a-kind partnership creates a model of shared governance to promote meaningful engagement of physician leaders with hospital administrative leadership—all in an effort to improve patient experience and enhance care.
Conway Regional maintains an employee engagement score in the top 20% of hospitals throughout the country and a Medical Staff engagement score in the top 5%, as compared to hospitals of similar size and scope.
