Highly skilled Automotive Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Nissan vehicles while delivering exceptional workmanship, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Utilizes advanced diagnostic equipment, manufacturer service information, and technical expertise to perform repairs that meet or exceed Nissan factory standards. Committed to safety, quality, and continuous professional development in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnosed complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic vehicle systems using Nissan CONSULT diagnostic equipment, scan tools, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters.
Performed comprehensive maintenance services, including oil changes, brake system repairs, tire mounting and balancing, alignments, suspension repairs, cooling system service, transmission service, and fluid exchanges.
Inspected, diagnosed, and repaired gasoline engines, CVT transmissions, steering and suspension systems, HVAC systems, fuel systems, emissions systems, and driveline components.
Repaired advanced electrical systems, including starting, charging, lighting, CAN bus communication networks, sensors, modules, infotainment systems, and driver-assistance technologies.
Executed manufacturer warranty repairs and customer-pay repairs while consistently meeting Nissan quality and flat-rate productivity standards.
Conducted comprehensive multi-point vehicle inspections, identifying maintenance needs and safety concerns while providing accurate repair recommendations.
Utilized factory service manuals, wiring diagrams, technical service bulletins (TSBs), and OEM repair procedures to ensure accurate first-time repairs.
Installed OEM and aftermarket accessories including remote starters, lighting packages, towing equipment, running boards, roof racks, and electronic accessories.
Tested repaired vehicles through road testing and post-repair quality inspections to verify proper operation and customer satisfaction.
Maintained accurate repair documentation, labor operations, parts usage, and technician notes within the dealership management system.
Collaborated with service advisors, parts personnel, and shop foremen to efficiently diagnose concerns, reduce downtime, and maximize workflow.
Maintained a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment while properly handling hazardous materials and recycling automotive fluids.
Followed all Nissan factory procedures, dealership safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
Participated in ongoing Nissan factory training to remain current on new vehicle technologies, hybrid systems, advanced diagnostics, software updates, and repair procedures.
Consistently achieved high levels of productivity, repair accuracy, and customer satisfaction while maintaining attention to detail and quality workmanship.

 
QualificationsAutomotive Technician – Qualifications

Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training preferred.
ASE certifications are not required.
Hold a valid driver’s license, with clean driving record. 
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
Must read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
Experience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared to do on-the-job training.
Good hand-eye coordination.
