NextGen System Administrator

The Senior NextGen Enterprise Systems Administrator is a key technical resource within Assembly Health's Physician RCM division. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end NextGen Enterprise implementations for new clients, ensuring systems are configured, optimized, and fully operational to support revenue cycle performance. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with NextGen Enterprise and a strong understanding of physician practice workflows and RCM operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Implementation & Onboarding

• Lead full-cycle NextGen Enterprise implementations for new Physician RCM clients, from discovery through go-live and post-live stabilization.
• Conduct workflow assessments and translate client-specific requirements into system configuration plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and NextGen support resources to ensure implementation milestones are met on time.

NextGen Enterprise PM System Administration

• Practice, enterprise and location configuration
• Provider, facility, payer and insurance setup
• User/security/role administration
• Work queues and operational configuration
• Claim, charge, payment and adjustment workflows
• ERA/835 and claim/837 processing
• Statement and patient-billing configuration
• Rules, edits and claim-scrubbing configuration
• Test vs. Production environment management
• Identify and resolve configuration gaps that may impact billing efficiency, coding accuracy, or collections performance.

Training & Client Support

• Develop and deliver end-user training programs tailored to each client's staff and workflow.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for NextGen-related questions during and after implementation.
• Provide Tier 2/3 application support for existing clients as needed, troubleshooting system issues and recommending solutions.

Process Improvement & Documentation

• Maintain detailed implementation documentation including configuration guides, data mapping specs, and go-live checklists.
• Contribute to internal best practice standards for NextGen implementations across the Physician RCM division.
• Collaborate with RCM leadership to identify opportunities where system enhancements can improve revenue cycle outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with NextGen Enterprise, including implementation, configuration, and support.
• Deep expertise in NextGen modules: Practice Management, EHR, billing/claims, scheduling, and reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of physician RCM workflows including charge capture, claims submission, ERA/EOB processing, and denial management.
• Experience with data mapping, batch processing, EDI setup, and clearinghouse integrations within NextGen.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client implementations simultaneously in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range$100,000—$130,000 USD

Compensation for this role is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. The expected salary range for this position reflects these considerations and may vary accordingly. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may have the opportunity to participate in company bonus programs.
