New Business Development Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a New Business Development Specialist based in United States.

This remote business development role focuses on generating qualified attendance for live events and webinars serving independent automotive repair shop owners.
You will connect with prospective customers across the U.S., identify their needs, and communicate the value of specialized coaching and business improvement programs.
The role combines outbound prospecting, lead qualification, relationship building, and persuasive phone-based communication.
You will engage directly with shop owners and decision-makers, overcome objections, and secure meaningful commitments.
Success requires a self-motivated, goal-oriented approach and the ability to work independently in a performance-focused environment.
You will also collaborate closely with marketing and coaching teams to maintain consistent messaging and support post-event follow-up.
This is an opportunity to contribute directly to new customer growth while developing your sales and business development expertise within the automotive aftermarket.

Accountabilities

• Conduct outbound calls to independent mechanical repair shops across the United States.

• Communicate the value and benefits of upcoming live events and webinars to prospective customers.

• Identify and qualify prospects based on their business needs, decision-making authority, and ability to invest in relevant programs.

• Secure attendance commitments from qualified shop owners and decision-makers.

• Identify prospective customers and accurately document sales prospecting activity in CRM and other tracking systems.

• Handle questions and objections confidently, professionally, and persuasively.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and activity records in CRM systems.

• Track relevant KPIs and consistently work toward assigned business development and attendance goals.

• Collaborate with marketing and national coaching teams to align outreach, messaging, and business objectives.

• Follow up with no-shows and interested prospects after events to support continued engagement and outreach efforts.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry.

• Strong phone communication skills with a persuasive, confident, and engaging communication style.

• Ability to quickly understand customer needs and clearly communicate relevant value propositions.

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented approach with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Strong organization and follow-through skills, particularly when managing multiple prospects and follow-up activities.

• Comfortable using CRM systems, remote communication platforms, and KPI tracking tools.

• Ability to handle objections professionally and maintain productive conversations with prospective customers.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, coaching, and other cross-functional teams.

• A results-focused mindset and willingness to consistently engage in outbound prospecting activities.
