This isn't an account maintenance position—it's a true business development role for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships, and closing profitable projects.

As an Industrial Energy Sales Representative, you'll help customers protect their operations by delivering customized standby power, energy storage, and critical power solutions backed by Clifford Power's industry-leading service organization.

You'll represent trusted products while partnering with experienced engineering, project management, and service professionals who help you deliver exceptional customer experiences from proposal through installation and beyond.

What You'll Do

Develop New Business

Prospect and develop new commercial and industrial customers throughout the Oklahoma City territory.
Identify opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, contractor relationships, consulting engineers, and end users.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Develop long-term relationships with facility managers, plant managers, engineers, contractors, developers, and business owners.

Consultative Solution Selling

Evaluate customer power requirements and recommend customized backup power and energy solutions.
Deliver professional presentations and technical consultations.
Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, and close profitable sales.
Manage projects throughout the complete sales cycle—from prospecting through project turnover.

Territory Management

Own and grow your assigned territory with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and customer activity within CRM.
Represent Clifford Power at industry events, trade associations, and customer functions.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, service, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.

What Success Looks Like:

Within your first year, you'll:

Build a strong pipeline of commercial and industrial opportunities.
Develop trusted relationships with engineers, contractors, and end users.
Successfully close new generator and energy system projects.
Become a recognized power solutions advisor within your territory.
Consistently achieve or exceed sales goals while building a long-term book of business.

 
Qualifications:  

What We’re Looking For:        

We're looking for someone who enjoys competing, solving customer problems, and building lasting relationships.

Ideal candidates will have:

5+ years of successful outside sales experience in industrial, technical, electrical, mechanical, or related B2B markets.
A proven history of developing new business and consistently exceeding sales goals.
A hunter mentality with the drive to build new customer relationships.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
The ability to understand and communicate technical products and solutions.
Experience with generators, electrical systems, industrial equipment, HVAC, automation, construction, or similar capital equipment is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with disciplined pipeline and CRM management.
Self-motivation, accountability, and a desire to continuously improve.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Business, Professional Sales, Energy Management, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
