Summary
The Mutuel Teller is responsible for accepting wagers, answering betting questions, and processing winning tickets for customers. They must also manage their daily cash bankroll, verify funds, and perform end-of-shift reconciliation.

Reports to: Mutuels/Simulcasting Manager / Mutuel RepresentativePrimary Purpose: Accept wagers and pay winning tickets. Primary source for wagering information.
Responsibilities:
- Take wagers from customers, answer basic betting questions and pay winning tickets.
- Receive daily cash bankroll and verify; prepare cash for ‘skim’; close out cash bankroll and give money to Mutuel Representative.
- Obtain needed cash for completion of customer transaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification: High School DiplomaWork Experience: Money handling experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Strong customer service skills.Skills:
- Successful completion of six-hour mutuel training school in which operation of the wagering terminal is taught.
- Must pass a qualifying test which gauges knowledge of horse racing and wagering formats.
