JOB SUMMARY:

From greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner to protecting furniture and belongings, loading, unloading their belongings, and setting up furniture for customers, our movers and drivers make this company what it is.
• Transport customer’s belongings safely from one location to another
• Protect customers property and assist in the loading/unloading of customer belongings ensuring that all items are moved without causing any damage
• Our non-CDL required trucks allow movers to learn the role of driving box trucks without a CDL certification.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Identify potential hazards, safety risks and unsafe working conditions.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with other employees and customers no matter what the situation is
• Maintain a positive attitude at all times
• Always aware of surroundings and looking for ways to minimize safety concerns
• Checks job details and notes each morning to ensure the truck is stocked appropriately for the jobs that day
• Utilize a variety of moving equipment including carrying straps, dollies, and hand trucks to ensure safe handling of belongings.
• Fast pace working environment that requires courteous and professional communication with clients, efficient teamwork, great organizational skills.
• Move heavy furniture/boxes up/down flights of stairs
• Ensure all company equipment is returned to box truck at the end of each job
• Be reliable, have outstanding interpersonal skills, stand behind company policies, perform all responsibilities as expected
• Abide by traffic laws and safely drive vehicles
• Carefully moves the items at all times
• Follows instructions given by Crew Leaders or other management.
• Disassemble/Reassemble furniture items without losing or damaging anything
• Warehouse upkeep
• Truck upkeep
• Be willing to wear PPE when required
• Flexible schedule - Must be willing to stay longer than scheduled shift
• Ability to move extra heavy items such as pianos, safes, exercise equipment, etc
• Wrap all furniture with blanket and stretch wrap
• Must wear company-approved uniform and maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company and providing service to customers
• Ability to lift heavy items repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.
• Background check and random drug screening
• Work in all weather conditions
• Mobile phone with cellular data at all times
• Bring proper tools every day. Tools required: Gloves, Pliers, Crescent wrench, SAE/M sockets, SAE/M Allen wrenches, Screwdrivers, Flatheads, Tape Measure, Channel Locks, Utility Knife, Drill.

COMPENSATION INCENTIVES:

• Overtime - Available for all time over 40 hours paid at 1.5x hourly rate
• Raises - Bi-Annual performance reviews to determine eligibility for raise
• Tips - Opportunity to earn tips for each job on top of the hourly rate! (Our top performers have averaged $1,000+ in tips alone in a month)
• Drive Time - Hourly rate paid throughout all drive time (Yes, even cross country jobs)
