As a Server at Society 1854 located in the Omaha Marriott Downtown, you will tailor the dining experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction.

What will you be doing?

·        Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.

·        Understand menu including ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.

·        Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.

·        Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.

·        Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.

·        Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.

·        Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.

·        Address and resolve guest complaints.

What do you bring to the role?

·        High school degree or equivalent preferred

·        Must have high level of knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.

·        One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.

·        Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.

·        Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.

·        Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.

·        Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests.

·        Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays and have reliable transportation to and from work

·        Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.  TIPS and Douglas County food handler certification required.  CPR certification and / or First Aid Training preferred.
