Position Summary:

Responsible for leading the development, deployment, and sustainment of Ventura Foods' maintenance and reliability strategy across the manufacturing network. Provides enterprise leadership for reliability governance, asset management, work execution management, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, maintenance performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. Partners with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Site Leadership teams to improve asset reliability, reduce equipment-related losses, build organizational capability, and establish standardized maintenance and reliability practices that drive asset management excellence and long-term business performance.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead Enterprise Reliability Strategy and Governance: Responsible for establishing and sustaining the enterprise reliability strategy and governance model across the manufacturing network. Provides leadership for reliability standards, performance expectations, and cross-functional alignment to ensure consistency in maintenance and reliability practices. Drives reliability awareness, facilitates governance reviews, leads overall strategy, and partners with site leadership to improve asset performance, maintenance effectiveness, and operational reliability. Oversees preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs, including audit processes that verify maintenance execution quality and effectiveness across the network.
• Drive Reliability Program Deployment and Technical Execution: Leads the development, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise reliability programs designed to improve equipment performance and reduce operational risk. Responsible for deploying work order management processes, asset management strategies, preventive maintenance optimization, loss elimination programs,  and other reliability best practices. Partners with site maintenance teams to ensure successful execution and standardization across all manufacturing locations. Provides direction for MRO, spare parts optimization, storeroom management standards, and inventory strategies that support equipment reliability while controlling operational costs.
• Develop Reliability Capability and Organizational Effectiveness: Builds organizational capability by developing maintenance and reliability talent throughout the network. Leads technical training programs, reliability workshops, skills matrix deployment, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning activities. Ensures teams have the knowledge, tools, and competencies necessary to support current and future reliability objectives while fostering a culture of continuous learning and asset management excellence.
• Manage Reliability Performance and Continuous Improvement: Develops and manages reliability performance measurement systems to drive continuous improvement and operational results. Establishes and maintains reliability scorecards, key performance indicators, dashboards, audits, and reporting processes. Analyzes performance trends, identifies improvement opportunities, facilitates corrective actions, and ensures reliability initiatives deliver measurable improvements in equipment uptime, maintenance effectiveness, and business performance. Establishes and governs standardized root cause analysis (RCA), failure analysis, and corrective action processes to eliminate chronic equipment failures and drive sustainable performance improvements.
• Provide Maintenance Systems and Process Leadership: Provides leadership for maintenance business processes, systems, and standards that support enterprise reliability objectives. Oversees CMMS utilization, maintenance data integrity, standardized maintenance work processes, contractor management practices, and continuous improvement activities. Ensures maintenance systems and processes are effectively utilized to support decision-making, process discipline, operational efficiency, and long-term reliability success.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive maintenance, reliability, engineering, or manufacturing experience in a food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods environment.
• Experience implementing maintenance and reliability systems, including CMMS, work order management, asset hierarchy, maintenance planning and scheduling, and reliability performance management.
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent reliability certification.
• Experience leading enterprise or multi-site reliability initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Effective interpersonal skills
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change through influence, coaching, and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of reliability engineering principles, including preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PdM), root cause analysis (RCA), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and asset management practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing regulatory requirements, food safety programs, process safety management (PSM), and environmental compliance requirements.
• Excellent computer skills in up-to-date software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems, asset hierarchy development, bill of materials (BOM) management, and maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret reliability, maintenance, and operational performance data to drive business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and sustain standardized maintenance and reliability processes across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Ability to work with plant management personnel, outside vendors and suppliers to identify, install, start-up and optimize process improvements and facility improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of plant process operations with the ability to identify processing, mechanical, electrical and structural problems and inefficiencies.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
• Must have a background in wastewater management, safety and ammonia refrigeration.

• Salary Base Range of $124,904.10 - $198,298.61*
• Annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions)
