ABOUT THE TEAM

The Accounting team is a collaborative, detail-oriented group focused on delivering timely, accurate, and relevant financial results. Whether supporting month-end close, external reporting, audits, or process improvements, the team is committed to providing Raving Fan service through every interaction. The team also prioritizes efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement to support a more scalable and effective close and reporting cadence. 

WAYS YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE 

We are looking for an experienced accounting leader to manage and mentor the Accounting team across general ledger accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, audit support, process documentation & improvement, and SOX compliance. In this role, you will apply strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP to complex accounting topics, including equity transactions, share-based compensation, leases under ASC 842, revenue recognition under ASC 606, business combinations, and other technical accounting matters. You will help ensure transactions are recorded accurately, reporting deliverables are completed on time, and financial statement presentation is appropriate. You will contribute by:

• Guiding the Accounting and accounting operations teams through month-end close, including ensuring revenue and costs are accurately recorded; preparing, reviewing, and approving journal entries in a timely manner; preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations; identifying opportunities to shorten the close process; and partnering with FP&A and tax on month-end reports and close deliverables 

• Mentoring and leading the Accounting team by supporting career development, removing roadblocks, encouraging team members to expand their skills and take on new challenges, and helping them succeed in their day-to-day work  

• Leading the annual audit by partnering with internal and external auditors throughout the year to support compliance with applicable standards

• Coordinating the preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and other external reporting deliverables 

• Analyzing, researching, and documenting relevant accounting guidance and interpretations to determine the Company’s accounting approach for complex topics, including equity, share-based compensation, leases, revenue recognition, and business combinations; preparing accounting memos; and proactively reviewing accounting implications with the Company’s auditors, including the impact of newly issued accounting standards and SEC reporting rules 

• Identifying areas for process improvement, partnering with appropriate stakeholders, and implementing improvements independently, including the use of AI tools and automation to reduce manual effort across the Accounting team 

• Owning the hierarchy, scalability, and accuracy of the chart of accounts, general ledger, and financial statements, including decision-making over transaction classification and recording 

• Serving as a liaison with FP&A on related tasks, including monthly and annual budget forecasts 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP 

• Active CPA license 

• Confidence communicating financial results and accounting implications to relevant stakeholders 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and partner with management to establish appropriate deadlines 

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally to meet deadlines 

• Understanding of internal controls and experience creating process documentation 

• 2+ years of experience managing an accounting team 

• 8+ years of accounting experience 

• Experience using AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot or similar large language models, to improve efficiency 

• Thoughtful approach to collaboration, process design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning 

• Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported

\n$95,769 - $123,000 a yearThis salary range reflects a typical compensation range for the role and level in most U.S. locations. Final compensation offered will depend on your location, experience, and skills. Total compensation may also include bonuses, equity, and competitive benefits.\n
