Event Merchandise Driver & Sales Representative - IndyCar

The INDYCAR merchandise trailer is Team Penske owned and operated and will attend select race events throughout the United States to sell Team Penske merchandise at the track. The associate will be required to travel to at least 8 race events during the season, travel schedules may be a week to a full month in duration. Leading up to the event the sales associate will help to organize, stock and clean the trailer. The associate’s main responsibility will be to provide excellent and professional customer service while conducting sales of Team Penske merchandise to customers at race events. The sales associate will also be responsible for helping to setup the trailer as a retail location to conduct business during the race weekend. The setup of the retail location will involve putting up signs, WiFi connections, point of sale, etc. and displaying merchandise for customers to view and purchase. The sales associate will provide customer service, sales support and general daily operations for the sale of merchandise during the race weekend. This position will work in conjunction with the transport driver to prepare for and work the race event. A driver/sales team is preferred.  

Responsibilities:

• Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for the loading and unloading of the transporter.
  • Inventory management of the transporter.
  • Cleanliness and general presentation of the transporter.
  • Ensure that all equipment and merchandise is stocked properly.
  • Presents self in an appropriate/professional manner at venues.
  • Meets schedules, timelines and deadlines appropriately and safely.
  • Provide excellent and professional customer service.
  • Facilitate merchandise sales for customers.

Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates should have the following:
  • Clean, organized and presentable work ethic.
  • Professional presentation required.
  • Satisfactory background check.
  • Customer Service skills and experience.
  • Able to operate an internet based sales system.
  • Able to calculate simple math.
  • Able to lift 50lbs independently.
  • Able to maneuver inside tight confinements on the trailer.
  • Sustain 10 or more hours of consecutive time on your feet.
  • Able to travel to at least 8 race events during the season. 
  • If team driver, Clean CDL Class A license.
