Mental Health Therapist

Mindify Wellness and Care is hiring behavioral health professionals to provide telehealth and onsite services for established caseloads at our partner adult day centers in:

• East Orange
• Newark
• South Amboy

Therapists may select one or more locations based on their availability. We welcome clinicians who can commit to one center as well as those interested in serving multiple locations.

Schedule

Our partner adult day centers generally operate Monday through Friday. Typical onsite hours are:

• 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Specific hours may vary by location.

Onsite coverage is generally needed one to three days per week, depending on each center’s needs and the therapist’s availability.

Telehealth sessions may be scheduled on the same days as onsite services—before, after, or between onsite appointments—or on separate days.

This is a flexible 1099 opportunity. Our team works with each therapist to develop a schedule based on the therapist’s availability, preferred locations, specialties, and caseload capacity.

Compensation

$35–$45 per completed clinical session

Rates are determined by licensure level, credentials, experience, and clinical expertise.

Therapists are paid for completed clinical sessions. Cancellations and patient no-shows are not compensated.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral health assessments
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy within the therapist’s training and scope of practice
• Use evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches
• Help clients develop coping skills, emotional-regulation strategies, and treatment goals
• Provide crisis intervention when clinically appropriate
• Complete accurate and timely assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers, primary care providers, care managers, and other members of the treatment team
• Coordinate referrals and connect clients with appropriate community resources
• Follow HIPAA requirements, payer guidelines, professional standards, and organizational policies

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
• One of the following New Jersey credentials or qualifications:
  • LCSW
  • LSW
  • LPC
  • LAC
  • LMFT
  • Another qualifying behavioral health license recognized by the State of New Jersey
• Ability to provide onsite services in East Orange, Newark, and/or South Amboy
• Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and on time
• Strong communication, organization, and care-coordination skills

Experience in outpatient behavioral health, community-based care, telehealth, adult day centers, or working with diverse populations is preferred.

Position Type

This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering scheduling flexibility, administrative support, patient referrals, clinical supervision when needed, and company-provided malpractice coverage.

Part-time or full-time W-2 opportunities may become available in the future based on organizational needs and mutual interest; however, conversion to W-2 employment is not guaranteed.
