What You’ll Do

As a Mental Health Residential Specialist, you will:

• Provide trauma-informed, recovery-oriented support that promotes safety, empowerment, emotional wellness, and personal growth.

• Assist residents with daily living activities, goal achievement, budgeting, community participation, and independent living skills.

• Coordinate and support medical appointments, medication administration oversight, and health-related needs.

• Encourage social engagement, recreational participation, positive coping skills, and the development of natural support systems.

• Complete documentation, maintain compliance with agency and HIPAA standards, and help ensure a safe, clean, and supportive residential environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License

• Previous Experience working directly with individuals with MH diagnoses and disabilities

• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

• Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written

• Ability to successfully complete all required training programs

• Ability to pass Criminal Record History Clearances, FBI, Physical Examination, and Drug Screening

Preferred:

• Experience in residential services, behavioral health, recovery-oriented care, or human services

• Knowledge of Trauma- Informed Care and person-centered practices 

Schedule

• Part-Time

• Flexible scheduling based on programmatic needs

• Evening, weekend, holiday, and overnight hours may be required.

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals as needed

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
