Position available for a Casual/on-call (Part-time) Medication Technician for Sundays and Mondays: 10:45pm - 7:15am

All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice. Visit our LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/company/baywoodcourt/ ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  Aware of the Title 22 RCFE Regulations Receive medications from family, pharmacy or resident.  Ensure that each medication has a signed physician’s order.  Transcribe each physician’s medication order onto MAR (Medication Assistance Record) correctly.  Ensure that all PRN orders are written by physician according to Title 22 RCFE Regulations.  Ensure that all pharmacy labels are written in accordance with Title 22 RCFE Regulations.  Medications are poured/passed, recorded, reordered, centrally stored, discontinued and/or destroyed in accordance with Title 22 RCFE Regulations.  Caregiver duties: light housekeeping, dressing/bathing/assisting with restroom, taking from dining room to apartment.  QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to write and document in the ADL forms Current First Aid Certification - must have prior to on-floor training PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical demands require mobility about the unit with direct resident care involving standing, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, twisting, and reaching. Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair, gerichair, and/or shower chair, pushing unassisted Must be able to lift, transfer, turn and position a resident weighing up to 125 pounds unassisted or with assistance using mechanical lift equipment. May be exposed to verbal and physical abuse by residents.
