Pay Rate: $26.57-$43.76 hourly
Job Description:
The Medical Lab Technician performs and interprets standard, complex and specialized tests.
Performs full range of chemical, microbiologic, immunologic, hematologic, and immunohematology laboratory procedures.
Evaluates test results and follow-up with appropriate action.
Performs instrument calibrations, maintenance, QC and troubleshooting procedures.
Completes all internal and external documentation as per policies and procedures.
Provides administrative and technical consulting on laboratory testing.
Assists in the training of laboratory personnel, other healthcare professionals and consumers.
Participates in evaluation of new techniques and procedures in the laboratory.
QualificationsJob Qualifications:
An associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences required.
Experience required for ASCP certification is required.
American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required.
Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
