Medical Office Secretary - Weekends

Turning Point Care Center has an opening for a Medical Office Secretary to work Saturdays and Sundays 1-2 weekends per month. The Medical Office Secretary functions as the “point person” for coordinating day-to-day operations of the medical office to ensure services are delivered in an effective, efficient, and customer-oriented manner and in accordance with all federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies’ regulations, requirements, and standards. The preferred candidate will have:

• Demonstrated leadership capacity and coordination skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent computer skills including advanced MS Office and strong Power Point and Excel skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Organized and detailed oriented
• Effective communications skills, both verbal and written
• Sensitivity in handling confidential information.

This PRN day shift position will require work on weekends and holidays.

• Saturdays and Sundays
• 6- 8 hours per day (varies based on workload)
• 1 to 2 weekends per month (varies based on staffing)

Qualifications

Qualified applicants meet the following requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as prolonged standing, walking, with intermittent bending and stooping.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Regular and consistent attendance is an essential job function; reliable transportation is required.
• One (1) year experience in a patient related field, required.
• One (1) year experience with psychiatric and/or substance abuse patients, preferred.
• One (1) year experience as medical/clinical secretary, preferred.
• Great organizational skills and knowledge of basic office equipment/computers is required.
