| Position Summary |
The University of New Mexico Department of Dental Medicine is seeking a highly organized and motivated Medical Education Program Specialist to support its Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency Program. The Department of Dental Medicine is committed to improving access to comprehensive dental care for New Mexico’s underserved, medically complex, and special-needs populations. The AEGD Residency Program provides advanced clinical and educational experiences that prepare dental graduates to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care in clinical, hospital, and community-based settings. The Medical Education Program Specialist will plan, coordinate, and administer the operational and educational activities of the residency program. This position will work closely with residents, faculty members, program leadership, clinical rotation sites, preceptors, and internal and external partners. The successful candidate will be able to manage complex schedules, maintain accurate records, respond to changing program needs, and support compliance with accreditation and institutional requirements. | Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
