Medical Assistant/Correctional Health Technician | Maricopa County, AZ
Openings:
- Day Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
- Night Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
- Minimum 13-week commitment
- Jail/Clinic: To Be Determined (TBD)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certificate of completion from a MA-accredited Health Care Training Program, as required by Arizona regulations, or applicable exception
- Current N95 fit testing
- Current BLS and First Aid Certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care within the MA scope of practice under medical/nursing supervision
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatment; obtain patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints
- Perform office procedures, tests, examinations, venipuncture, injections, immunizations, and TB skin testing as required
- Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Maintain exam/procedure room supplies
- Assist with scheduling, filing, scanning, and other administrative duties
- Use Microsoft Office for documentation, spreadsheets, email, and scheduling
