Medical Assistant – Primary Care
Coastal Health is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, works well in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working as part of a team to provide excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures
Administer medications and injections as directed
Perform EKGs and other clinical duties as needed
Collect and prepare specimens
Complete accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Assist with patient calls, messages, and follow-up
Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms
Monitor and maintain clinical supplies
Follow HIPAA, infection control, and safety guidelines
Provide professional and compassionate patient care
Work closely with providers and office staff to ensure efficient daily operations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Excellent patient service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
Strong attention to detail
Experience with electronic medical records is a plus

QualificationsMinimum 1-3 years experience in the medical field preferred. Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing , Professionalism, Quality Focus, Team driven attitude, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and reliable transportation.
