We’re looking for an exceptional MBA student to help us grow something early, ambitious, and meaningful.

Icebreaker (joinicebreaker.com) is a private networking platform built for MBA students and alumni, now spanning 250+ MBA programs globally. We’re building what we believe is the future of professional relationship-building, helping ambitious people discover the right conversations, collaborators, opportunities, and career-defining relationships in a smarter, more human way. We believe AI can fundamentally improve how people build professional relationships and navigate their careers.

Our network already includes MBA students and alumni from schools like HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, Booth, Columbia, MIT Sloan, Berkeley Haas, NYU Stern, Michigan Ross, Duke Fuqua, UCLA Anderson, USC Marshall, Yale SOM, Oxford Saïd, INSEAD, London Business School, and more.

Members come from companies including Google, Meta, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix, NVIDIA, Disney, TikTok, Adobe, Nike, Airbnb, McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Blackstone, and hundreds of startups.

This is a highly autonomous, project-based role for someone who wants meaningful ownership and the opportunity to help shape something early.

We’re looking for someone unusually strong at networking, relationship-building, cold outreach, creating opportunities, and making things happen. Someone who naturally knows everyone, builds trust quickly, follows up relentlessly, and enjoys connecting ambitious people.

Most importantly: we are looking for someone who understands the vision, identifies opportunities, and moves. Someone who can independently build relationships, open doors, create momentum, gather insights, and come back with measurable progress, not just ideas for discussion. This is a role for someone who likes turning ambiguity into action and is excited by the challenge of helping build something people genuinely want and need.

This is fundamentally a get-stuff-done role. We care far more about momentum and outcomes than meetings or ideas. We are looking for someone who naturally takes ownership, moves quickly, follows through, and finds ways to make things happen. If you see an opportunity, your instinct is to act, not wait.

We’re looking for someone with real urgency. Someone who does not wait for perfect instructions, does not need constant direction, and is comfortable operating independently. You should be the kind of person who sees an opportunity, figures out the next move, reaches out, follows up, and comes back with progress.

This role is especially well-suited for someone who genuinely loves people, loves building relationships, and already spends time making introductions, opening doors, joining communities, and reaching out to interesting people. If you naturally build networks and have no hesitation starting conversations with students, alumni, founders, operators, investors, club leaders, or community builders, that is exactly the energy we’re looking for.

You’ll work directly with the founders on helping Icebreaker become a must-have platform for MBA students and young professionals.

What you’ll work on:

• Growth: Help drive member growth across MBA communities, clubs, student leaders, summer interns, and high-value networks
• Partnerships & Relationships: Build relationships with MBA leaders, connectors, clubs, startups, operators, and communities
• Community & Engagement: Help us better understand what makes people return, engage, and build habits inside the product
• Product Feedback: Gather user insights and identify opportunities to improve retention, engagement, and long-term value
• AI-Powered Execution: Leverage AI tools to personalize outreach, uncover opportunities, synthesize feedback, and move faster

Who you are:

• MBA student (preferably in US, but open to other locations)
• Highly connected or naturally excellent at building relationships
• Extremely proactive, resourceful, and high-agency
• Comfortable with cold outreach and turning conversations into opportunities
• Curious about startups, consumer products, growth, networking, or the future of careers
• AI-native or excited to use AI to scale your work
• Comfortable operating independently with limited structure
• You have real urgency and a get-stuff-done mentality. You move quickly, follow up relentlessly, take ownership, and naturally create momentum

Details:

• Paid, project-based role (hours TBD)
