Mathnasium is hiring friendly, patient people who like working with kids to join our team as Math Instructors. Perfect for high schoolers, college students, or anyone semi-retired looking for flexible, meaningful part-time work.
The details:
- 2 shifts/week, afternoons and weekends
- $15.50–$18.50/hour
- In-person at Mathnasium of Barrington
- Full paid training — you don't need teaching experience, just solid math skills
What you'll do:
- Teach 2nd–12th grade students 1-on-1 and in small groups using the Mathnasium Method
- Help students build confidence and actually get math, not just memorize it
- Track student progress and communicate with your Center Director
- Keep the learning environment safe, welcoming, and fun
What we're looking for:
- Comfortable with math through at least Algebra I
- Friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with kids
- Reliable and able to commit to 2 shifts a week
- Eager to learn — we'll teach you the rest
