Responsibilities: • Take notes regarding each client’s medical history and ensure that appropriate precautions are taken so that the condition is not aggravated • Provide clients with knowledge of different types of available massages and suggest appropriate massage therapies for individual clients • Explain the massage procedure and provide information about oils and creams used during massage • Perform massaging activities according to each client’s instructions (pressure and preferred oil/cream) • Talk to clients (minimally) during massage treatments to ensure their well-being during the procedure • Uphold the standards of hygiene and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures • Maintain a constructive attitude and add toward a quality work environment Qualifications · Qualified candidates will have at least 500 training hours, including one year of licensed, hands-on experience. · Current Texas massage therapist license required. · Excellent customer service skills · Outstanding communication and listening skills · Ability to build relationships with guests · Ability to promote products and services · Ability to work as part of a team ABOUT LAKE AUSTIN SPA RESORT Nestled along the shores of scenic Lake Austin in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, Lake Austin Spa Resort offers guests the sanctuary of an award-winning spa and the warmth of a best friend's lake house.
