Martech Platform Engineer, Temporary

Overview

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Temporary MarTech Platform Engineer in any of our U.S. offices.

The MarTech Platform Engineer will serve as a technical resource supporting the firm's Business Development and Marketing Technology ecosystem during a period of platform and organizational transition. This long-term temporary role will focus on the technical health, integration, data architecture, and ongoing evolution of the firm's MarTech platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with enterprise applications, data integrations, data warehouses, and platform engineering. The role will partner closely with Business Development, Marketing, IT, Data Engineering, Enterprise Applications, and other technical stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, support integrations, improve data flows, and help shape scalable solutions for the future-state environment.

Responsibilities

• Support, administer, troubleshoot, and enhance the firm's MarTech and Business Development technology platforms.
• Serve as a technical resource for Intapp and other related client development, relationship intelligence, CRM, and business development applications.
• Work directly with enterprise data warehouses, data feeds, staging tables, and related data sources to investigate issues and support platform functionality.
• Design, support, and optimize integrations between MarTech platforms and related enterprise systems.
• Partner with Data Engineering and IT teams on ETL processes, data mapping, transformation, validation, synchronization, and data quality.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, integrations, and platform issues; perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors.
• Support REST and SOAP web services, APIs, and other integration technologies used across the MarTech environment.
• Assess technical feasibility, dependencies, scalability, performance, and downstream impacts of proposed platform changes and enhancements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, data-flow diagrams, integration documentation, and solution designs.
• Identify opportunities for workflow automation, process improvement, and increased operational efficiency.
• Support reporting and analytics solutions, including validation of data sources, business logic, and downstream reporting outputs.
• Participate in platform upgrades, releases, migrations, modernization efforts, and technical change-management activities.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to evaluate current-state capabilities and support planning for the future-state MarTech environment.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience in MarTech, platform engineering, enterprise applications, CRM technologies, data integration, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience working with enterprise applications and integrated technology platforms.
• Experience working with data warehouses and underlying data structures, including the ability to investigate and troubleshoot data issues.
• Experience supporting integrations, APIs, ETL processes, data feeds, and synchronization between enterprise systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes across applications, integrations, and data layers.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Intapp products and platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or another enterprise CRM platform.
• Experience within a law firm or other professional-services environment.
• Experience with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Exposure to Power BI, reporting platforms, automation tools, or scripting technologies such as Python.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is:

• New York City and Boston= $46.704 - $65.935 per hour
• Wheeling $40.866 – $57.693 per hour
• All other US offices $43.59 - $61.539 per hour

This will be a long-term temporary assignment, expected to run approximately 6–12 months. Our temporary team members are eligible for paid sick leave where required by location.
