In this role, the Marketing Lead serves as a key liaison among program teams, internal subject matter experts, marketing partners, creative resources, and vendors. Our consultants collaborate with clients to define and implement strategies and campaigns around key business drivers, focusing on delivering high-impact projects that exceed expectations and meet the unique needs of our commercial and retail clients.

This position is designed for an experienced marketing professional ready to take increased ownership of complex marketing initiatives while providing day-to-day leadership across assigned campaigns and workstreams. In this role, you will be working with others who are passionate about energy efficiency and making a positive impact on the industry.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies for assigned energy programs, campaigns, and workstreams.
  • Partner with Marketing Managers, program leadership, internal subject matter experts, marketing partners, creative resources, and vendors to translate program objectives into actionable marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing lead for assigned campaigns, projects, and program workstreams, coordinating activities among internal teams, shared marketing resources, creative resources, vendors, and partners.
  • Lead campaigns from initial strategy and creative brief through development, review, approval, launch, measurement, and optimization.
  • Develop campaign strategies and briefs that clearly define target audiences, objectives, key messages, channels, deliverables, schedules, and measures of success.
  • Manage marketing project workflows and creative requests to ensure work is delivered on time, within scope, and consistent with program objectives.
  • Coordinate shared marketing resources across assigned campaigns and workstreams, working with Marketing Managers to identify priorities, capacity needs, scheduling conflicts, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate the review and approval of marketing materials with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and review marketing content across digital, social, web, email, print, presentations, case studies, and other communication channels.
  • Ensure marketing and communication materials comply with client requirements, brand standards, accessibility expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Apply customer insights, market research, program data, and campaign performance results to inform marketing recommendations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate campaign performance, including key performance indicators, program participation, engagement, and return on marketing investment where applicable.
  • Recommend adjustments to marketing strategies and tactics based on performance data, customer insights, and evolving program needs.
  • Track marketing campaign budgets and spend within assigned workstreams and identify potential budget, scope, or resource concerns for Marketing Managers and program leadership.
  • Build productive working relationships with program teams, marketing partners, creative resources, vendors, and internal subject matter experts to support successful marketing delivery.
  • Support Marketing Managers and program leadership in client meetings and presentations by providing marketing strategy, campaign recommendations, performance insights, and subject matter expertise as needed.
  • Identify marketing risks, resource needs, scheduling conflicts, and implementation challenges and work with Marketing Managers and program leadership to develop solutions.
  • Provide guidance, peer review, and mentorship to Marketing Specialists and other team members, helping strengthen marketing quality and consistency across programs.
  • Share best practices, lessons learned, successful campaigns, tools, and innovative approaches across the Energy Transition marketing team.
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and broader organization.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
  • Ensuring compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, or related program/project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing and communications strategies.
