Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity within the enterprise marketing department for a summer agriculture Marketing Intern! This role will support marketing efforts for the agriculture platform at CHS, including agronomy, grains, animal nutrition, service entities and other areas of the business. This internship will provide a diverse experience within the marketing field as part of the nation’s leading cooperative.

This intern will serve as a valued member of the marketing team, contributing to and/or leading a variety of projects supported across the team, such as advertising, marketing, storytelling and content development, trade shows, web sites and digital media. You must be detail-oriented, independent, and eager to learn with excellent communications skills and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently. To maximize the internship experience, this position will follow a hybrid structure, spending a minimum of 3 days based at CHS in Inver Grove Heights, MN.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside agriculture marketing team members to support marketing campaigns and programs aligned with business objectives and strategies.
• Provide support in the creation, publication and communication of marketing materials, such as sales sheets, product assets and other strategic support collateral.
• Engage with external vendor partners to execute ongoing marketing efforts and creative development.
• Support digital marketing channels, including social, email marketing & websites.
• Provide marketing project management support through direct contributions, status tracking and ensuring progress against business marketing activities.
• Lend support for business-specific agriculture tradeshow event planning.
• Write and design marketing content, newsletter stories or related copy for online and print.
• Adhere to established approval processes to ensure content meets business objectives and regulatory requirements, follows appropriate editorial style guidelines and meets brand standards.
• Opportunity for cross-functional learning through assistance of other departments, as needed.

The agriculture marketing internship is part of the CHS summer internship program and will receive exposure to other marketing, communications and business teams throughout the summer.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Currently enrolled in a Business Administration, Marketing, Marketing Communications or related degree program.
• Must be based in Minnesota during the summer of 2027 to accommodate a hybrid work schedule.

Additional Qualifications

• Interest or background in agriculture or the cooperative business model.
• Previous internship experience.
• Experience creating content for digital or social media channels.
• Familiarity with marketing, communications, design or multimedia tools.
• Experience working on team projects, student organizations, or leadership activities.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
