As part of our global Customer Adoption organization, the Solutions Consultant leadership team is tasked with ensuring that each and every customer has a wildly successful relationship with us. By engaging with our customers on a technical level throughout their Observability lifecycle, our managers help expand the New Relic customer base by driving increased value for our customers as they scale their technology ambitions!

We are seeking a driven leader who will build and evolve our Solutions Consulting team. This critical team is vital for New Relic to achieve our hyperscale goals. As the regional leader for the Solutions Consulting Team, you’ll be one of the primary drivers to increase revenue growth across new logo customers. You will develop a team of Solutions Consultants while working closely with other customer-facing teams (Account Executives, Technical Success Managers, etc) to combine strategy and execution to ensure our customers achieve the maximum value from New Relic.

You and your team will work with customers across a wide spectrum of verticals and industries, to help customers solve their business challenges with the New Relic Platform and realize immediate time to value by connecting their success to their business goals. Our goal is to build lifelong advocates for New Relic!

This is an opportunity to bring together your skills within DevOps, Architecture, Observability & Service Delivery and most importantly leadership. You will expand your knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring, Infrastructure, APIs, and Analytics, AI / ML, Network Performance and much more.

What you'll do

• Lead the development and growth of your teams expanding New Relic’s customer base.
• Manage your team to deliver a rapidly growing catalog of services that enhance the time to value for net new customers, focusing on product adoption, customer satisfaction and business goals.
• Support and coach the account teams with opportunity qualification, Proof of Value presentations (POV), RFP responses & business justification in a presales capacity.
• Provide thought leadership both internally and externally, around observability & business transformation.
• Act as a point of escalation to ensure any account issues are resolved in a timely manner, using resources from across Technical Support, Sales, Engineering, etc.
• Maintain & gain knowledge of the technologies supported by New Relic and how they enable our customers to solve business challenges.
• Partnering very closely with our sales leaders and teams to engage with stakeholders at prospective and existing customers.

This role requires

• 10+ years of direct customer facing Solution Consulting, or Sales Engineering role, with a proven track record of driving customer ARR growth, ideally in a new logo/acquisition focus.
• 2+ years of direct management of solutions consulting, professional services, or technical customer success teams, with a track record of driving customer satisfaction would be ideal, but not required.
• Experience building and managing Solutions Consultants, Technical Account Managers, Technical shared services, Technical Customer Success and/or Professional Services teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Technical and SaaS experience and an ability to speak to technical customers in their language.
• The ability to create & executive sales strategies and support delivery models that align with current customer segments, deliver customer value and scale with growth projections.
• A track record of developing and mentoring great talent, and building and motivating hard-working teams.
• Effective and productive collaborator to drive cross-functional initiatives
• Empathy, humility and listening skills.
• Strong relevant work experience preferably with a SaaS software provider or professional IT services company.
• Ideally combined background of architecture and post-sales and service delivery.
• Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

Bonus points if you have

• Experience with web application development & architecture and/or generative AI tools & agentic AI technology stacks. 
• Experience in the Observability space

The pay range below represents a reasonable estimate of the on target earnings (salary plus target sales incentives) for the listed position. This role is eligible for a commission plan (as defined in the sales incentive plan document). Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
