Founded in 1976, Holy Cross Hospital - Davis has grown into a 220-bed hospital of choice for the flourishing communities of northern Utah. Over the years we have enhanced our care by offering a broad range of services, advanced medical technology, and a comfortable, convenient patient experience. To meet the needs of northern Utah's growing population, we opened a brand-new 16,000-square-foot healthcare facility in Roy, known as the Weber Campus. The Weber Campus, which is convenient for patients in Ogden, Roy, and other neighborhoods west of I-15, currently offers emergency care, radiology, mammography and 24/7 laboratory services. Located in the northern portion of the Wasatch Front and only minutes from Hill Air Force Base, you can enjoy quick access to Ogden, Salt Lake City, Antelope Island State Park, hiking, biking, and the beautiful outdoor activities that Utah is known for.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Maintenance Worker II, a vital steward of our facilities, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, staff, and visitors.Every day you will perform essential maintenance service and repairs across buildings, equipment, and grounds. This includes a diverse range of responsibilities from carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing work, to equipment maintenance and safety testing. - Performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, overhaul, and construction duties.
- Constructs and repairs various items (i.e., building woodwork, windows, ceiling tiles, walls/floors, cabinets, counter tops, doors, office furniture and chairs).
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and meets all applicable codes.
- Inspects and performs repairs on Life Safety components (i.e., fire/smoke wall, doors, exit corridors, exit stairs, & chute doors).
- Comprehensive understanding of equipment operation, building systems, emergency procedures, and the ability to successfully provide service as needed.
- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of documentation in Computer Maintenance Management System i.e., work orders, equipment, and area records.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) to four (4) years of general maintenance experience
- Valid State Driver's License
- Strong communication skills: ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred
- Completion of a trade school program
- Technical degree in a facilities related field
- Journeyman Plumber License or certification, HVAC or Electrical also accepted
