Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

A Maintenance Technician at Iowa Aluminum is responsible to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired to produce high quality aluminum products that meet or exceed standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance

Perform scheduled maintenance in all equipment, fire extinguishers, and eye wash stations.
Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly in a timely manner.
Develop maintenance procedures to reduce equipment downtime.

Safety:

Follow all safety protocols and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform the Iowa Aluminum Lock Out/Tag Out program as required.
Participate in safety and job training sessions as required.

Record Keeping:

Document maintenance activities, any issues encountered during the shift and report any deviations or abnormalities.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure repair work is completed correctly in a timely manner. 
Communicate with Iowa Aluminum Team to keep them updated on repairs as needed. 

Qualifications:

Maintenance/Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and welding. 

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities, with a focus on efficient and effective communication.

Problem Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Organization Skills: Ability to plan and organize maintenance schedules for repairs and projects.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 100 pounds. Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.

Attendance: Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
