Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance technician to work approx 20 hours a week. Initial responsibilities will be to perform rental home maintenance and common area maintenance, landscaping, and general work orders. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and common area facilities while ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor fixes to water meters including valve and gauge replacement
- All residential constructions skills will be used at one point or another in common areas
- Install mechanical, appliances, and equipment
- Common area landscaping upkeep by mowing lawns, maintaining trees, spraying, edging
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light fixtures, receptacles, plumbing repairs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
- heavy equipment experience a plus
- Report to maintenance lead for issues
Skills
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- Experience with trimming trees
- Knowledge of driving a plow and salt truck
