We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to perform a wide variety of duties relating to the installation, construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of Casino facilities, including but not limited to: the responsibility of maintaining all facilities, FF&E, mechanical systems and equipment, kitchen equipment, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems in good repair and in good working order. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of team members in both the Facilities Department, with special project reporting to the General Manager.

Specifically, you will:

Periodically inspects all areas of the facility to look for areas, equipment, furnishings, etc. in need of repair.
Responsible for the efficient and good working condition of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, septic systems and lighting.
Ensures public areas are kept in “new” condition at all times.
Maintains preventative maintenance program to ensure all facilities, furnishings and equipment are in good repair and in good working order.
Directs staff to paint, repair and otherwise perform duties necessary to maintain appearance and condition of all facilities to standard.
Directs staff EVS Leads and oversees the cleanliness of the property.
Maintains work order system to respond to maintenance requests received from other departments
Ensures all kitchen equipment is kept in good working order.
Tracks and monitors work done by maintenance staff to ensure completeness and quality.
Maintains sufficient supply of parts to ensure availability in order to quickly repair equipment, facilities and furnishings.
Maintains inspection process for all major mechanical systems to ensure working order.
Ensures parking area and grounds are kept clean and neat at all times.
Ensures landscaping is kept in condition.
Prepares weekly work schedule for building maintenance staff.
Ensures proper HVAC     standards and     maintained which provide safe and comfortable environment for guests and team members.
Responds to emergency maintenance calls at all times, night or day.
Monitors septic system (including grease-traps) and ensures proper maintenance procedures are in place and followed.
Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS.
Schedules frequent, brief meetings for teams, shifts and department to share guest comments, highlight and reinforce progress and success, set goals to promote greater progress and success. Meetings include input from those present.
Establishes clear expectations and goals for others: individuals, peers, team and department.
Accomplishes assigned individual, team and departmental technical, operational and performance goals to standard.
Involves staff in planning and decision-making.
Ensures team members have complete knowledge of all casino products and services.
Ensures new team members receive adequate training to meet their job requirements.
Ensures team members know and understand products, machines and equipment used in accomplishment of job duties.
Understands budgeting, forecasting, financial controls and profit / loss statements.
Maintains high visibility in the operation, manages by “walking around”. Visits places of worklooking for success and identifies areas that need improvement to meet standards
Responsible for hiring, retaining, promoting, performance evaluations, training, disciplining, and terminating employee with concurrence with General Manager and the Human Resources Manager.
Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Running Creek Casino and of the Maintenance Department.
And all other job duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Gaming and convent ion center parking environment. Outdoor environment. Must handle hazardous materials. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasional overtime required. High volume direct public contact. May be required to work in extreme weather. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals.

Native American Preference will apply in accordance with Tribal Policies

Qualifications:
Knowledge and Certification

Required:

At least 21 years of age
High school diploma or GED required with 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC 

OR

Associate degree in related field and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC

OR

Bachelor Degree in related field and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC

AND

2 years’ experience in a Maintenance Department supervisory/managerial role
Knowledge of the ADA of the building specifications of the building.
Knowledge of all safety procedures associated with the well-being of the building and of the guest and team members.
Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and be insurable.

Preferred:

Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gamingoperations
