Mailroom / Stockroom Clerk (Part-TIme)

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Works under general supervisor, provides U.S. mail, interoffice mail, package and supply transportation and delivery to all locations insuring security of the information at all times. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Pick-up, sort, transport and deliver U.S. mail, interoffice mail, proof work, packages and supplies between all Bank locations. 
• Maintain security and confidentiality of all mail, proof work and packages during transport.
• Responsible for stocking and delivery of supplies. 
• Handles priority mail items per procedure.
• Follows daily schedule as established by supervisor.
• Performs non-scheduled tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license, good driving record and follow all traffic laws.
• Sort mail, packages, and other items in a timely fashion insuring accurate and efficient delivery. 
• Make pick-up and deliveries to the U.S. Post Office and other outside establishments as needed. 
• Performs the daily duties of coworkers in their absence.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain the vehicle at all times keeping it clean and orderly. 
• Assist in any bank related matters as requested. 
• Run general bank related errands as requested.
• Housekeeping and light maintenance duties on occasion.
• In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to maintain knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security and bank policies.
• Accepts other duties assigned that may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of both the department and organization.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 
2. Must provide proof of a valid driver’s license and possess a safe driving record. 
3. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
4. Must be available between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm Monday through Friday; flexibility is necessary as additional hours may be required on occasion. 
5. Must be dependable and punctual. 
6. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. on a consistent basis. 
7. Excellent interpersonal skills required.
8. Business casual dress is appropriate.

Additional Information:

Pre-employment credit check, background check, and drug screen is required.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Previous courier experience is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand/or sit for long periods of time. The work environment is frequently located both indoors and outdoors. 

The employee is frequently required to operate a vehicle, computer, printer, telephone, and/or other office equipment. 

The employee frequently exchanges information with others and must be able to do so in an effective manner. Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and across a variety of audiences. 

The employee may frequently move or lift items up to 50 pounds.

Frequently the employee will need to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel items, reach with hands and arms for items in high or low places and must have the ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl.

The typical schedule is 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Employee must be flexible to work after-hours, weekends and on-call, when necessary.
