We are looking for a Full-Time Security Officer to join our team at Longo Toyota, the #1 Toyota dealership! Our Security Officers get to work with an amazing team and by working for Longo, you can be sure that you will be surrounded by only the very best.

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of integrity, professionalism, and honesty. Our Security Officers help keep our 50+ acre campus safe and ensure it continues to be the best automotive campus in the industry. The ideal candidate is flexible in regards to schedule to include working the overnight shift of 10pm-6am.

The Security Courtesy Representative has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $19.00 and $20.00 depending on experience.

*This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities

• Building and establishing relationships with employees, guests, and other security staff
• Patrolling the entire dealership to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
• Securing doors, windows, and gates
• Answering alarms and investigating disturbances
• Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees and guests
• Writing reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activity, safety and fire hazards, and other security related situations
• Providing any needed assistance to guests and employees
• Warning and communicating any rule infractions or violations, plus getting the necessary assistance to apprehend or evict violators from premises.
• Performing other specific administrative functions as directed by management.
• Maintaining high ethical standards in all actions
• Always maintains a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide superior customer service to our staff, guests, and the public.
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• California State Guard Card preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate information in writing and able to read and understand information in the English language.
• Must be able to use good judgment in challenging situations.
• Can successfully communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet and in person; and use standard office equipment.
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.

Physical demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Perform phyiscal activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. 
• Stand for long periods of time. 
• Exerts maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, bending, reaching and squating.
