We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our long-term care team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, promoting their comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.

Our ideal candidate is compassionate, optimistic, dedicated, empathetic, a team player, a good communicator, and understands the unique needs of geriatric patients. 

Responsibilities:

• Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments and completes assessments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Prepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of patient.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient.
• Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.
• Responds to situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
• Assists aides on the floor in other direct patient/resident care activities when needed.
• Utilizes the EMR appropriately, documenting necessary patient information in appropriate areas in a timely manner.

This position is part-time, working 12-hour night shifts (6 am-6 pm). 

Greeley County Health Services offers competitive wages and benefits for full and part-time employees. RNs are also eligible for weekend and night shift differentials as well as short notice incentive pay for additional shifts worked.
