Locum Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA)

**Position:** Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

**Purpose of Coverage:** Addressing a staffing shortage in a high-acuity urgent care setting.

**Coverage Duration:** Immediate start for an initial term of 3 months.

**Work Environment:** Clinical setting.

**Work Schedule:** Variable weekly shifts from Monday to Friday (8 AM - 6:30 PM; 9:30 AM - 8 PM; 11 AM - 10 PM) and weekends (8 AM - 6:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 7 PM). Weekend availability is mandatory.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver urgent care services for all age groups.

- Conduct procedures, including suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, and toenail removal.

- Handle a diverse caseload typical of urgent care.

**Experience Requirements:**
- Emergency Room (ER) experience is essential, with a preference for candidates possessing high-acuity urgent care experience. 

- Expected patient acuity levels range from ESI 3 to 5.

**On-Call Duties:** None required.

**Patient Volume:** Anticipated patient flow of approximately 3 patients per hour.

**Shift Composition:** Each shift will include an LPN, RNs, and occasionally MAs, along with the support of 2 Emergency Medicine physicians on-site daily.

**Electronic Medical Record System:** EPIC.

**Credentialing Timeline:** Approximately 60 days from application submission.

**Certification Requirements:**
- Must be Board Certified.

- Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association.

**Licensure:** Active Colorado state licensure is mandatory.
