Locum - Physician - Surgery - Neuro

We are seeking a Neurosurgeon to provide comprehensive 24-hour call coverage, including inpatient rounding and admissions. This position is hospital-based, and the clinician must be proficient in both spinal and cranial surgeries.

**Current Available Shifts:**

- 10/2/2026 08:00 to 10/6/2026 08:00
- 10/29/2026 08:00 to 11/6/2026 08:00

All necessary facilities, including imaging, laboratory services, procedure rooms, and operating rooms, are available on-site. The team comprises one Neurosurgeon, one Orthopedic-Spinal Surgeon, and Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) conducting outpatient clinic sessions.

Key responsibilities include managing emergent calls, performing emergent surgeries, and daily inpatient rounds. We request board-certified practitioners only; those who are board-eligible will not be considered. It is anticipated that providers will handle 5-10 inpatients daily.

**EMR System:** Cerner

**Shift Summary:**
- 14 days of call coverage per month

- Weekend Requirement: On-call

**On-Call Details:**
- 24-hour call coverage expected

**Certification Requirements:**
- ACLS certified
- Board-certified status required

**Licensure:**
- Must hold a valid license to practice in Michigan.
