Locum - Physician - OB/GYN

**Clinical Skills and Procedural Expertise:**

- Management of low-risk pregnancies

- Facilitation of vaginal deliveries

- Performance of cesarean sections

- Surgical repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations
- Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)

- Obstetric Ultrasound Proficiency
- Amniocentesis Procedure

**Position Overview:**

- **Shift Coverage:** Seeking a provider for OB call coverage on a rotating basis every 5th week of the month. Exact dates for coverage are yet to be finalized.

- **Hospital Coverage:** 24/7 coverage required, including 2 hours of complimentary patient care.

- **Coverage Responsibilities:**
 - Labor and Delivery unit
 - Emergency Department
 - Surgical services 

 - Addressing acute and urgent surgical needs
 - Clinic consultations exclusively for emergent cases to assess potential hospital admission.

**Employment Timeline:**
- Start Date: September
- End Date: January 2, 2027

**Patient Load:**
- Anticipated volume of 4 deliveries per day.

**Support Staff:**
- Accompanied by 2 Nurse Practitioners (NPs).

**Electronic Health Record (EHR) System:**
- Utilization of Cerner for patient documentation and management.

**Shift Specifications:**
- 24-hour call coverage every 5th week.

**Qualifications:**

- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (mandatory).

- Active Michigan medical licenses (mandatory; no exceptions).

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN (mandatory).

- Local candidates are preferred, as travel expenses will not be covered.

- National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) report must be obtained within the last 30 days (required at the time of application).
