Locum - Physician - OB/GYN

**Job Type:** Locum

**Coverage Dates:** November 25-29, with additional shifts anticipated (6-7 per month)  

**Schedule:** 7 AM - 7 AM  

**Call Coverage:** In-House and Beeper/Phone Call  

**Average Call Back Hours:** Minimal; daily midwife coverage available  

**Number of Providers Required:** 1-3  

**Practice Setting:** Inpatient/Hospital-Based  

**Patient Population:** Adults

*Care Distribution:** 100% Inpatient  

**Average Patient Load:** 1-6 patients per day  

**Trauma Level Designation:** Not applicable  

**Required Clinical Skills:**  
- Routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps delivery  

- C-section decision-making and execution  
- Management of complicated deliveries, including breech, multiples, and abruptions  

- VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean)  

- Repair of 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations  

- Gynecological call coverage mandatory  

**EMR System:** EPIC  
**Additional Information:**  

- Onsite labs and ultrasound facilities  

- Equipped with hospital labor and delivery resources  

- Low volume of C-section patients  

- Midwifery coverage for delivery of their patients  
- Nursery Level: II  

- Annual delivery volume: 700-800  
- L&D triage visits: 140-190 per month  

**Shift Details:**  
- 6-7 shifts monthly with potential for additional shifts; beeper call from 7 AM to 7 AM  

**Mandatory Job Requirements:**  

- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (required)  

- Active Kentucky medical license or IMLC (required)  

- Current BLS certification (required)  

- Current DEA registration (required)  

- Availability for the specified coverage dates (November 25-29); no exceptions  

**Certification Requirements:**  
- BLS  
- Board Certified/Eligible  

- DEA Registration  

**License Requirements:**  

- Kentucky Medical License
