Locum - Physician - Hematology Oncology

**Coverage Details:**

**Dates:**
- August 22 (17:00) to August 24 (07:00)

**Schedule:**
- Coverage required from Friday at 17:00 to Monday at 07:00.

**Practice Environment:**
- Combination of inpatient and outpatient settings.

- Trauma Level: III.

**Patient Demographics:**

- Adult and geriatric populations

- Case mix: Approximately 70% oncology and 30% hematology; Internal Medicine cases are not included.

**Staffing:**
- Only one physician on site; there is no Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support.

**Patient Load:**
- Outpatient setting (clinic/office): Average of 12-25 patients per day.
- Inpatient setting (hospital call/rounding): Average of 2-8 patients per day.

**Electronic Medical Record (EMR) 

System:**
- Utilizes Epic.

**Credentialing Timeline:**

- Temporary privileges can be processed within 3-14 days post-application submission.

- Permanent privileges typically take 2-3 months.

**Compensation:**
- Full travel expenses will be covered.

**Required Qualifications:**

- Board Certification in Medical Oncology (mandatory).

- Board Certification in Hematology (highly preferred).

- Active Virginia Medical License (mandatory).

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory).
