Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology

**Schedule Overview:**
- Work Days: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 5 PM 

- Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage on weekends, no weekday night shifts.

**Specific Dates:**
- **10/6/2026:** Daily shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM (No night call) ending on 10/8/2026 at 5 PM.
- **10/30/2026:** 24-hour weekend call starting 7 AM on 10/30, concluding 11/2/2026.

- **11/2/2026:** Daily shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM (No night call) until 11/4/2026.

- **11/28/2026:** 24-hour weekend call (7 AM to 7 AM) concluding on 11/30/2026.
- **11/30/2026:

** Daily shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM (No night call) until 12/3/2026.

- **12/26/2026:** 24-hour weekend call (7 AM to 7 AM) ending on 12/28/2026.
- **12/28/2026:** Daily shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM (No night call) until 1/1/2027.

- **1/2/2027:** 24-hour weekend call (7 AM to 7 AM) concluding on 1/4/2027.

- **1/4/2027:** Daily shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM (No night call) ending 1/7/2027 at 5 PM.

**Clinical Setting:**
- Facility: Hospital
- Patient Volume: 18 outpatients and 20 inpatient scopes daily

- Services: Endoscopy coverage and consultations available from 7 AM – 4:30 PM 

- Support Staff: Includes 2 physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), all services available onsite

 
- Onsite Facilities: Laboratory and X-ray
- Electronic Medical Record System: Cerner

**Shift Description:**
- Standard work hours: 7 AM to 4:30 PM with 24-hour weekend call

**Weekend and On-Call Requirements:**
- Weekend responsibility: Exclusive to Saturday and Sunday (24-hour coverage)
- On-Call Duty: Yes

**Candidate Requirements:**
- **Board Certification:** Mandatory, will consider those Board Eligible

- **Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS):

** Required
- **Michigan Licensure:** Active Michigan license and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) are mandatory upon submission; no exceptions.

- **Local Candidates:** Preference for candidates who can drive in.

- **Background Check:** Clean record with no actions; minimal malpractice history is acceptable.

- **Experience:** Mandatory prior experience (Completion of Fellowship with at least 2-3 years in practice) is non-negotiable.

- **COVID Vaccination:** Required
- **Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA):** Verbal confirmation needed; to be confirmed upon name clear.

- **National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB):** Self-query copy required at presentation, must be pulled within the last 30 days.

**Certification and License Requirements:**
- **Certification:** Must be Board Certified
