Locum Physician Emergency/Family Medicine Residency

**Position Announcement: Emergency Medicine Coverage**

We are seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician, or an experienced Family Medicine physician, to provide 24-hour coverage starting at 0800 on December 29, 2026. Ideal candidates should be semi-local, with a preference for those within driving distance, and willing to join our roster for occasional shift pickups across our three affiliate hospitals.

**Key Details:**
- **Coverage Requirements:**
 

- Emergency Medicine coverage with APP support from 1100 to 2100, 7 days a week; solo coverage for remaining hours
 - Shift Duration: 24-hour shifts from 0800 to 0800

  - Patient Volume: Approximately 8,500 visits per year, averaging 25 patients per day

- Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC)

- Concord Hospital (CMC)
- Concord Hospital (Concord)

**Qualifications:**
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine

- Must be comfortable with solo practice and the rural environment of Critical Access Hospitals (CAH)

- 24/7 backup from Anesthesia, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, and Hospitalists

- NH License (permanent preferred; no temporary licenses accepted)

- Required Certifications: NRP, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (American Heart Association)

**Technology:**
- EMR System: Meditech

**Orientation:**
- Mandatory orientation session typically scheduled on a weekday prior to the first shift

**Experience Requirements:**
- Minimum of 100 patients treated in the past 12 months

- Recent clinical activity in emergency medicine within at least two of the last four years

- Ongoing competency must include treating at least 200 emergency medicine patients in the past 24 months
