Locum - Physician - Cardiology

**JOB OVERVIEW:**

We are currently recruiting a Cardiologist for a position that involves both inpatient and outpatient care, providing coverage from Sunday to Saturday.

 The provider will be responsible for 24-hour inpatient call from 6 AM to 6 AM, with the expectation of fulfilling 8 hours of allotted "gratis" hours during the weekdays. 

**INPATIENT TEAM SUPPORT:**
The inpatient cardiology team consists of three Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who collaborate closely with the cardiology physician to ensure comprehensive patient management. 

**ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD SYSTEM:**
The facility utilizes the Cerner EHR system for patient documentation and information management.

**KEY PROCEDURES AND SKILLS REQUIRED:**

- Proficient in Echocardiography

- Skilled in conducting Treadmill and Chemical Stress Tests

- Competence in interpreting the aforementioned diagnostic studies

**SHIFT AND CALL STRUCTURE:**
- 24-hour call schedule from 6 AM to 6 AM, Monday through Friday

- Inclusion of a mandatory 8-hour period of gratis hours during the workweek

**QUALIFICATIONS:**
- Board Certification in Cardiology

- Active Michigan medical license

- Must be a resident of Michigan or within driving distance

- Clean background for expedited credentialing

- Availability to be provided based on stipulated dates

- DEA Verification 

– verbal confirmation required upon name clearance

- Self-Query from the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB)

**CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:**

- Board Certified
- Michigan medical license required
