Locum PAs & AP Nursing, PA, Orthopedic Surgery

**Position Overview: Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant**

**Coverage Period:** Immediate start (pending credentialing) for a duration of 3 months, with a potential extension up to 6 months.

**Practice Setting:**
- Integrated Hospital and Outpatient Clinic

**Clinical Responsibilities:**
- Focus on managing orthopedic patients, particularly those undergoing total joint procedures.
- Conduct inpatient rounding on post-operative patients, which includes medication management, patient updates, and addressing inquiries related to surgical procedures and discharges.

- Provide clinic coverage for a diverse patient population, including new patients, fracture assessments, post-operative follow-ups, and administering injections.

**Call Schedule:** None required.

**Work Schedule:**
- Monday to Friday.
- Rounding or combined Rounding/Clinic shifts: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Clinic-only shifts: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

**Patient Load:**
- Inpatient rounding varies between 14-18 patients daily.

- Clinic appointments typically range from 19-21 patients per day.

**Electronic Medical Record System:** EPIC

**Certifications Required:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Hospital Association accredited.
